About 1959 Pink
Thunderbird Convertible
Two Plays by James McLure
Laundry and Bourbon is the story of three small-town women,
Elizabeth, Hattie and their nemesis Amy Lee Fullernoy. Laundry finds Elizabeth on her back porch awaiting her
missing husband, Roy. When Hattie arrives the hilarity begins. The two women gossip about their less-than-perfect
husbands, the antics of their children and the memories of their wild
youth.
In Lone Star Roy loves three things: this country, his beautiful
wife and his 1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible - not necessarily in that order. Lone Star is Roy's story.
It is a typical Texas night and Roy and his brother Ray are comically tormenting each other and high school outcast
Cletis Fullernoy. Tonight, however, is different, as a long time secret will be revealed and Cletis will solidify
his status as Roy's biggest enemy.
Both plays guarantee an evening or afternoon of old fashioned laughs and good
humor.
